Likely causes
- Not enough fresh air exchange during pinning and fruiting
- A sealed humidity bag or tent with no gap for airflow
- A low-airflow spot, such as a cupboard or corner
What to do now
- Fan the opening for a few seconds, 3–4 times a day
- Leave a small permanent gap in the humidity bag or tent rather than sealing it completely
- Move the kit to a spot with more natural, indirect light
Less common causes
- Light levels too low, which can compound the stretching effect
